Heather Knight (1977, USA) graduated with a BA in Fine Arts from the Asheville University of North Carolina and served as a resident artist at the Odyssey Center for the Ceramic Arts the year after. While acting as Ceramics faculty for the Greenville County Museum of Art she started her own ceramics studio.
Her aim is to create work that reflects both her love of modern design and her admiration of the natural world. She is passionately committed to the hand made aspect of her work and strives to deliver pieces that display impeccable craftsmanship and an eye for detail.
Her porcelain wall sculptures captivate through the isolation of textures and play with scale, resulting in creations with a sometimes-shocking, always-intriguing microscopic look, ethereal art objects with a minimalistic and contemporary touch.
The work of Heather Knight is sought after internationally, has been exhibited in the USA, Europe and the Middle East and has been featured in many publications.
