Construction lineaire

Construction lineaire is a medium size contemporary modern sculpture painting relief by French-Dutch artist Olivier Julia. The triptych is made from wood with one glass element in the middle section and it is finished with a mixture of anthracite grey and bronze acrylic paint .

This art work hangs slightly free from the back wall, creating a floating visual experience. Due to the bronze in the acrylic paint, changing ambient light causes changes in the intensity of the grey colour. Furthermore, different viewing angles result in different relief patterns.
