Intersection III is one of a series of four different small size contemporary modern sculpture painting reliefs by French-Dutch artist Olivier Julia. This relief is made from wood, fiberboard, a small strip of glass and it is finished with a blue acrylic paint and a mixture of anthracite grey and bronze acrylic paint. It hangs slightly free from the back wall, creating a floating visual experience.
Due to the bronze in the acrylic paint, changing ambient light causes changes in the intensity of the grey colour. The glass strip runs diagonally through the work and when looked at from the front it causes a subtle division of the two sides of the relief. Different viewing angles result in different relief patterns.
