Small Rozetta Just Joking II is a unique small size contemporary modern paper relief by renowned Polish-Dutch artist Eliza Kopec. This relief is a typical example of her preferred minimalist abstract geometric vocabulary. Carefully cut round paper elements with different graphic patterns on each side are this time mounted into a patterned background, creating a fascinating interaction between the various patterns, light and shadows.
Looking at this work of art from upfront mainly shows the basic composition of the paper elements. But when moving to the opposing sides of this work, the full effect of the used colours and patterns comes into play. This principle also places this type of work in the long tradition of optical art and kinetic art.
